HIGHLIGHTS SUMMARY

 

General Radiology :

    Reading of usual X-ray studies (Skull, Spine, Paranasal sinuses, Chest, Bone & Joints, Abdomen,  etc.), mostly in Emergency settings & Hospitalized patients, but also in outpatient basis (especially Neuro cases).

 

Ultrasound :

    Basic skills on general ultrasound (Liver & Gallbladder disease, Pancreas, Abdominal Trauma, Abdominal pain evaluation), especially on emergency settings & inpatient basis ; basics on emergency Ob-Gyn ultrasound ;   Cerebral ultrasound in newborns (intracranial hemorrhage).  

 

Doppler Duplex Color :

    Doppler diagnosis, especially on Emergency settings (Deep Venous Thrombosis, Lower  extremities arterial occlusions, Carotid occlusion, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, Acute vascular trauma, etc.) ; Carotid-Vertebral doppler for the study of risk factors in cerebro-vascular disease ; evaluation of Varicose disease  of lower legs ;  Peripheral vascular diabetic / atherosclerotic disease ;

 

Computed Tomography :

    Whole Body CT (5 years experience), but special training & strenght in Neuro (20 years experience).

 

Magnetic Resonance Imaging :

    Especially in Neuro (skull, brain & spine).  But also basic diagnostic knowledge in the most frequent Musculoskeletal pathologic processes, such as Knee & Shoulder pre-OP lesions ; MR Cholangio-pancreatography;

   

Neuro-Radiology :

    Skull & Spine X-Ray,  CNS Computed Tomography, general CNS Magnetic Resonance Imaging.  No clinical experience in MR Spectroscopy, or MR Diffusion Imaging.

 

Interventional Radiology :

      Diagnostic :

        &a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;n bsp;     Neuro :  Myelography, Cisternography, Cerebral Angiography,  

        &a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;n bsp;     General :  Peripheral Angiography (Aortogram, Upper & Lower extremities, Visceral abdominal ).

 

      Interventional :

        &a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;n bsp;     Basic understanding of usual procedures in Cerebral Aneurysms, AVMs & Carotid Stenting, acquired  through 2 short learning courses in Barcelona (Dr. Guimaraens, 1999) & Buenos Aires (Dr. Lylyk, 2000).
