DX Radiologist with Mammo and Procedural Skills needed 1 week/month- $425/hr - North Dakota
Subspecialties: Diagnostic Radiology, Breast Imaging/Mammography & Interventional Radiology

An Onsite, locum tenens Radiologist is needed to complete minor procedures and reads such as diagnostic mammos, breast biopsy, barium enema, small bowel follow through, upper GI, epidural steroid injection, abscess drainage, medicare overreads.

- Located in Williston, ND

-25-bed critical access hospital; Level IV Trauma Center

-Avg daily census 12.7

-Schedule requirements: 1-2 weeks per month 7a-7p, M-F (site will also consider 8hr days if preferred.)

-No call

-Meditech EMR

-Imaging supports 3 general surgeons; 2 orthopedic surgeons; 1 FP provider with OB and 3 OB/GYN providers with an average of 50-60 births per mont

  • They do about 2300 radiology exams each month - They only have providers onsite 2-4 days each month. On the days that providers are there, they do procedures only and medicare overreads.
  • 5-10 procedures per day, depending on complexity ideally
  • 2-4 Diagnostic mammos per day, ideally
  • Providers on site would be provided a list of any overreads that would be needed. These are all types of studies- CT, MRI, x-rays, mammos, dexa scans.
  • Teleradiology company provides image reads

Required Procedures:

  • Breast localization for OR with magseed/magtrace- willing to learn: breast cyst aspirations, stereotactic breast biopsies
  • Arthrograms/Joint aspirations/Joint Injections
  • CT Cystograms
  • PICC Line placement
  • Lumbar punctures
  • Hysterosalpingograms
  • Bone Marrow Biopsy
  • Ultrasound biopsy of lymph nodes, muscle, kidney, thyroid, abscess drainage
  • ESI, SI injections, Facet injections - not all radiologists do all the injections, but as many of them as possible would be nice
Compensation:
  • $425/hr (1099)
  • Complimentary Medical Malpractice Coverage Provided
  • Travel Reimbursement includes airfare, lodging, rental car, fuel, or mileage.

Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Radiology - REQUIRED
  • ND License – REQUIRED or IMLC (with LOQ in hand)
  • ACLS, BLS, DEA, MQSA - REQUIRED
  • Clean Malpractice/Background - PREFERRED
